I wanted to update on what has been happening and what will be happening with the course. First, you have probably noticed I have not yet posted the lectures from last week. This is because I became ill on Thursday. I am mostly better now, and plan on meeting with you tomorrow as normal. For the two lectures that I missed, I plan on making them up after the midterm with, say, one extra lecture for each of two weeks. It makes no sense to me to pile more lectures on you when it is the traditional midterm period. There is no harm in waiting, and so we will wait.
Our midterm will be two weeks from tomorrow during the normal class Zoom period. It will cover from the beginning of the course through Section 4.2. This is where the lectures currently posted end (although the lecture was originally labelled Section 3.4 - but there is no Section 3.4). Remember that the 2nd homework assignment is due next week.
