To avoid replying individually, to those students that are not attending lectures, the first term will include
the lecture notes including those from March 31 (BUT NOT Test algorithms), thus LZW algorithm and Tunstall coding are part of the topics (other being Huffman, Shannon, Arithmetic, Kraft, (joint) entropy, mutual information ...).
No cheat-sheets are allowed ! More complicated definitions might be given and theoretical tasks (such as certain proofs) are possible.
Moreover, next week April 7, I will briefly present project topics and explain the main tasks related to it.
You will be in touch with Dilawar regarding group forming, not me !
