The course examines the role of financial institutions, interest rates and monetary policy, with a focus on how financial markets influence economic activity. The course is based primarily on Frederic S. Mishkin’s The Economics of Money, Banking and Financial Markets and combines theoretical concepts with their practical application to financial and economic issues.
